Researchers Solve Cement’s Structure

Is the paste in concrete - known as cement hydrate, or calcium silicate hydrate (CSH) - a continuous solid, like metal or stone, or is it an aggregate of small particles? Findings may guide development of formulas to make the material more durable, less CO²-intensive.
